Classical Ayurveda places great importance on women’s wellbeing throughout life. Classical texts discuss the importance of dietary habits, daily routine, physical activity, rest, emotional balance and classical lifestyle practices as the foundation of general wellness.
Classical Ayurvedic perspective on women’s wellbeing
Classical Ayurveda discusses women’s wellbeing in the context of general dosha balance and the state of Agni (digestive capacity). Classical texts describe traditional lifestyle practices for various stages of life, from everyday wellness to preconception and postnatal periods. These are classical textual references for general lifestyle wellness. They are not modern medical diagnostic categories, and no equivalence is drawn between them and any specific modern medical condition.
Traditional lifestyle wellness consultations
At Om Vedic Heritage Centre, our Ayurvedic practitioners can share classical lifestyle and dietary guidance based on traditional Ayurvedic understanding. These consultations focus on general wellbeing and are not a medical consultation. We do not diagnose or treat any medical condition.
For any specific women’s health concern, including hormonal, menstrual, reproductive or fertility matters, please consult a registered gynaecologist. Our wellness guidance is designed to complement, not replace, the care you receive from your doctor.
Lifestyle wellness areas we discuss
