DetailsAccording to Ayurveda, a condition where a person gains excessive weight is called Sthoulya. It is often referred as 'Medorog' .It is the condition of the body ,characterised by over-accumulation of fat (Meda) under the skin and around certain internal organs. It has imbalance of one of the three doshas i.e kapha. When kapha increases fat metabolism hampers and the person gets obese. Ama ( Toxins)is also a pathogenesis of obesity. Causes:

Treatment Case StudyTreatment: Customized treatment based on case. Case study: Patient’s age – 35 yrs Sex – M Presenting Complaint– Patient came to our clinic with the complaint of having put on excess weight (10 kgs), in the past 5 years. He felt lazy and could not concentrate on his work. He had been trying a lot of options to reduce weight but could not see any visible results. He came to our centre looking for a permanent solution which could take care of his weight as well as increase his energy level. Ayurvedic Approach: He consulted our Ayurvedic physician, and came to know that his digestion and metabolism were not good. And over the period of time had accumulated toxins. He did a thorough check up and came to know his exact condition. He was put under a customised diet plan and some modifications in his life style, along with ayurvedic herbal supplements to boost up his energy level and rectify his digestion. Results – After one month he was able to achieve visible improvement in his energy level. He was advised to follow the diet and other regimen for an additional 1 month.
