Aragwadhadi kashayam is a decoction made up of herbs mentioned in ancient Ayurveda text Astang Hrudaya.

The formulation pacifies Kapha and Pitta doshas in the body. This Kashayam is best blood purifier and hence it is mainly used in all types of skin disorders with severe itching, wounds, ulcers, pruiritus, urticaria, scabies and diabetic foot ulcers. It is also used in cases of frequent urination, urinary turbity and other urinary disorders.

  • Aragwadha – Cassia Fistula
  • Indrayava- Holerrhena Antidysentrica
  • Patala – Stereospermum Surveolens
  • Bhunimba- Swertia Charantia
  • Agni-Plumbago Zeylanica
  • Amruta – Tinospora Cordifolia

Dosage:

Aragwadhadi Kashayam is available in Kashaya and Tablets form.

Kashyaya

  • Adults- 10ml – 25ml mixed with 4 times of warm water, twice a day, 30 Minutes before breakfast and Dinner.
  • Children – 2.5 – 10 ml mixed with 4 times of warm water, twice a day, 30 min before breakfast and Dinner.

Tablets

  • Adult – 2 tablets with warm water twice a day, 30 min before breakfast and Dinner.
  • Children – 1 tablet with warm water twice a day, 30 min before breakfast and Dinner.

Diet:

  • To Avoid
    • Red meat, sea food and deep fried non veg food.
    • Processed, canned and frozen food.
    • Junk food and bakery items.
    • Cold drinks and carbonated drinks.
    • Curd (Yogurt).
    • Gassy vegetables like Potato, Cauliflower, Egg Plants etc.
  • To Include
    • Green mung beans
    • Freshly made soups
    • Light and easily digestible grains.

Side effects:

There are no side effects of this Kashayam, however it is advised to be taken under supervision of an Ayurvedic practitioner.
